becks ok i guess but this is mostly irritating

Hate for scientology is NOT religious bigotry. This is a group that will prevent you from talking to your friends or family if they disagree with the "religion." The fact that they have a tax free status after pulling crap like Operation Snow White sickens me.

Love, love, love Beck... but does anyone else find his concert persona a little misanthropic?  The stylings of the concert are always great (puppets and light shows!) but I always feel he's a somewhat contemptuous for the audience, like he's saying "I'll play, but the fact screaming fans are there effects me in no way whatsoever."  Thoughts?  Does he just hate Vancouver?

Out of curiosity, did you not like his more minimalist arrangements for his album Sea Change either? I'm just taking a stab to see if an accoustic based album would be less grating as it seems you're not fond of certain electronically propelled efforts.

And I don't know if it's totally fair to compare him to Moby. Moby peaked with his album Play and has been loosing most of his won fans ever since. Beck is still a slow steady build of steam in popularity.

You know what they say, if you're in the minority, be prepared to support your views with a lot more thought and detail than the majority.
