I really like this song--one of his more experimental works. Defintely a "Pagan" song, referencing deities, tricksters, and animal identification.

my mom liked Donovan. this song is giving me flashbacks to when I was 5 years old and I was forced to listen to whatever music my parents had playing... thanks, mom and dad, for helping me to get a good education and thus a good job which pays for CDs that I choose all on my own (ie, not Donovan)!

I'm not traditionally a big Donovan fan, but this is quite good. I keep flashing to "Love is like Oxygen" though :)
