I wonder about this myself. I like or love almost every song played on RP. Occasionally I will hear song I don't particularly like. Maybe I will turn down the volume, or switch music sources, but I never feel the need to express my dislike to anyone else. I don't understand why someone would bother with the negative energy. BTW, good to hear a little RA on RP. |

Great to see this back in rotation. Can we have some more Ryan Adams.
Ok he can be a bit patchy but 90% of his output is very good. Always like his instrumentation especially with the Cardinals and playing with Neal Casal.

Agreed! This perfectly describes H8rhaters raison d'etre. Thanks for that Lazaerus. |

Sounds like... early jefferson airplane. I give it a 7, but I liked that era.

The song you are looking for is, 29, the title track from the CD of the same name. |

Everyone seems to hear someone different here — for me it's Turin Brakes.

I just heard this and thought, "This is cool!" Then checked in and saw that I'd already rated it a 4 way back when. Maybe there were hundreds of us who just need to hear it in a different mood. (Obviously, I upped my rating several points.) |

I guess it's not just me that hears the Garcia influences in the guitar playing (there are probably 5 other such comments below and this will show that I didn't bother to check). My comment is based on Bill's segue from here into Sugar Magnolia (8/15/09).

The whole album is terrific. I know he gets, and maybe earns, a lot of crapola 'cos he's a tad arrogant about his talent—so we shouldn't like his music? That's sorta like saying you shouldn't like Jerry Lee Lewis 'cos he's also an arrogant SOB. Pay attention to the music and let the folks close to them deal with their personalities, right?

I always think that I should like Ryan Adams, I love alt-country in general and liked Wiskeytown but his solo songs just leave me flat. I even bought this album and I couldn't tell you a single song off it after listening to it a few times.

Much more accurate than all the Grateful Dead comparisons. And, in my opinion, much more of a compliment. |
