Man, he sings with such conviction. The Neil Young of the 90's - lyrically awesome. He sounds like he *means* it, just like Neil does.

I gave the song a 4, but the crowd sure seemed easily impressed. I imagined they'd yawn if they heard Peter Ostroushko on the mando. They made a lot of money though so they must be good.

It did take a long time for Pearl Jam to really click for me.  I always liked them but I was a half generation older than the average fan and I let that bother me.  Now I think they are in, say, the top ten of the most influential groups of the rock era.

Death Cab and BRMC are not Emo.  Decades?  Death Cab formed in 1997, 13 years ago and they're still going strong.  BMRC formed in 1998, 12 years ago, likewise. 

WRT U2 and PJ, IMHO: the alternative pantheon can manage these gracefully aging pioneers along side relative newcomers DCFC and BRMC.  They're not "business competitors," they're artists.
