Beautiful song. This is one song cover that really works. Not really sure that having Jim Carrey's face associated with this track necessarily adds to the ambience. |

Let me begin with an apology to all my fellow, non-bigoted RP'ers out there that may happen upon this post. I do so try to not post ad hominem attacks, but... You know Stingray, I typically try to implement Cynera's wise and oft missed advice to ignore you, or at least take you in context, but the longer I listen to RP and read your posts the more intolerant I find myself becoming of your ignorant and blatantly bigoted posts. Moreover, while you and I do share some similar taste in music, I personally do not care if Beck is is a Scientologist, or if Kroke's music is "Jewish," or whatever... You seem a small-minded dullard. Or is it something else that is exceedingly small and that you are compensating for with your hatred? Putz! |

I'm a YinYang -ist myself, which means that if there is a little bit of myself (my ears) in his world (music), it decreases the amount of whatever -ism in his. Love this one here, sunday, grey
Oh and that is a beautiful comment Cynaera - the power of words.

Cynaera wrote:I've heard this song a few times, and I never rated it - probably because I was too preoccupied with trying to save the world or keep my cats from using the laundry room floor as a litterbox...
Anyway, I've finally managed to actually listen to the song and rate it. I like it. Very ethereal and spacy, and at this point in my life, I need non-bombastic songs. I've heard other things by Beck, and with a very few exceptions, I've really loved everything he's produced.
So - now I'm sitting here with dirty litterboxes, a backache, and a grin on my face that I can't explain. Has to be Beck. We miss you so much, Cynaera...this is a very good song... |

So Beck might be all whacked out on the Scientology, but hey, whatever...He is a ridiculously talented artist who defies the conventions of genres even as he re-invents them. Also, they did an entire episode of Futurama on him, so he's got that going for him. |

Amazing song. Warrants at least an '11'.
Maybe the best production I've ever heard. And listen to how great that bass track is.
Top 10 fave songs of all time for me.
