I was really looking forward to hearing this. But it seems I was spoiled by the creativity and execution behind his "Common People" cover, which was excellent.

What a great chance to tell the sheep from the goats! I guess if you can't handle the truth it's hard to laugh about it . . .

I heard this song just the other day on the tube. It was featured in a made-for-TV musical on the SciFi channel. Apparently, that particular channel is losing market share to young males who are more interested in the programming offered on the History Channel, the Paintball Channel, and other venues.

So they brought Shatner and a few others on board for a Sci-Fi Vietnam musical. Shatner plays a Tom Berenger-type hard-ass singing sergeant, and this tune is from the part of the movie where he's getting his troops psyched up for an upcoming patrol. Full Dilithium Jacket, I think the musical is called....

Can't understand why you don't like this... Because of the music or because of the person?

Whatever ;) Like it. Sure, it's not outstanding, however "likeable" or maybe "excellent" are IMO good words for it :)

Best album cover I've seen in a long time.
