Does nobody here like clever and/or insightful compositions? It seems like if the piece includes sampled music, speech, or lyrics, everyone here immediately dismisses it as trash.

Does nobody here appreciate rap music?
Or Andy Warhol?
Or ...?

I like this kind of stuff. If done well, of course. And this was rather well done.

Of course we appreciate all those things. And your implication that no one but you has an open mind is obnoxious. You know, maybe the reason this song has an average of 4 is because most of us think it stinks.

I like the groovin' morphinesque baritone sax and the kabuki-style strings. The beat-poetry delivery reminds me of Tom Waits- the ladies singing back-up bring this tune down in my book. They're definitely annoying.

Ummm...this song compelled me to pop a CD in and turn this off for awhile. Too much talking, that just doesn't seem to work.

I've had just about enough. At least leave Miles Davis out of this "experiment."
