What's not to like?

Sweet fluid little guitar lead I love.

His voice isn't classic but it's way expressive.

Give it to them. Good tune.

that's so strange a comment to me. i'm a big lloyd cole (and lloyd cole & the commotions) fan, and i see absolutely no similarity at all between these two bands.
funny how something can resonate with one person and completely not resonate at all with another. makes life interesting.

Nice mix and lush guitar tone, like it a lot.

Actually, I listened to it near the end, and that's exactly what he's saying - I can clearly hear the "s". {#Stupid}

I thought the same thing until Bill G just mentioned this.
Thought maybe he was singing about a slave girl or some such...

A good tune; not BHTM's best, but a good song. I've always been impressed by the sound of this three man band.

Agreed. Not close to my fav BHT record but gets an 8 on principle.

I thought he was singing "don't sell her, I love her" until I looked at the track title. Todd himself is boring and monotonous (almost literally - maybe 4 notes all song?), so bring on the Monsters as they might be interesting. 3 from the Nottingham jury.

It's Big Head Todd... it's automatically both.

Cool, mellow, minimalistic track. Mixed down very well.

You know, whenever a BHT song plays, I KNOW what it must be BHT, but I look all-the-same, as I wonder if anyone else has mastered that strum on the guitar. Wonderful, thanks.

This song must be about a pet; perhaps a cat in the neighborhood.

I honestly thought that the lyrics were these: "Please don't sell her; I love her."

Not my favorite BHT track, but I have always been a big fan of this particular album.

Very interesting. The first Big Head Todd song I've seen on RP that just gets ripped in the comments section. Probably too poppy and not enough blues like the rest of their stuff. Myself, I'll take a change up once and a while.

It sure does sound like "sell"...
I always leave her waiting
I always leave her down
if she should come my way
I always turn around
Please don't tell her I love her

I always keep her out
I never let her in
If she should come my way weeping
I greet her with a grin
Please don't tell her I love her

if she should discover the colors of my love
she will fly, fly away

Now you can try tenderness
You can try to hang around
Oh, but I'm sure she'll love you less
I'm sure she'll bring you down
Please don't tell her I love her
