Those moaning about this sounding like the beatles, ever consider that this may have been done on purpose and that there's a story behind it? Yeah, crazy thought, isn't it?

Great album on the whole. If you like this track, the whole is worth acquiring.

Didn't know Supergrass were fakers, either. Thanks for the very educational post. Boy... other than all that, what a great band and great song. |

The Tour de France rolled into Rouen yesterday and all I could think of was "Road to Rouen" - too bad none of the other folks in the room appreciated the pun.

Sounds like Beatles, sounds like Kinks? Yeah, I hear those influences and I'm good with that.

I love this album, but they have lots of great songs on other albums... "Caught by the Fuzz," "Alright" and "Pumping on Your Stereo" would be welcome additions to the RP playlist.

Ok, I've been at work since 5:45pm last night and my replacement is 20 minutes late. Again.
I could so use some Supergrass myself.
In order to keep this comment at least somewhat relevant to the song, I find this band somewhat hit or miss for the most part. I have nothing against this song at all, but it just doesn't exactly grab me. If I wasn't sitting next to the computer and grinding my teeth in annoyance, I would forget that any music was on at all.

Speaking of other bands ... Supergrass here reminds me a lot of Grant-Lee Phillips' "Dream In Color" so much so that I thought he was in this band. I like them both.

P.S. HMV is like the old Sam Goody. Selling CDs way overpriced...making people find alternative methods to widen their horizons. I agree. The Beatles borrowed too. John said he hated "Run For Your Life" because he "nicked" Elvis. Nothing is created in a vacuum. |

You made me look up HMV. For those like me who haven't heard of it, HMV is a retail entertainment chain selling CDs, among other things. It is the largest such chain in the UK and Canada. |
