At the first notes for the song I thought it was David Gilmour, wonder if there is any influence there. Nice song either way.

I don't like to give 10's away, especially for newer artiest... but I just love Iron and Wine.

I've seen them live twice. The first time was on their tour with Calexico when they finished the show with a combined set of songs from their album. The second time I was in the 5th row. Awesome.
My wife walked down the aisle to their (his?) version of "Such Great Heights"
I saw them in Baltimore last week and was literally standing at the edge of the stage, all of 10 feet from Sam Beam himself. What an amazing concert. |

This whole set of music is excellent. Bill is the king of good seques from one song to the next. Elliot Smith into Iron & Wine...excellent choice! |

Heh. I can't put you in a box man. I spot you one place dissing long hairs, in another lusting after Ani hairy pits and all, and now you're smoking pot with your girlfriend. |

Lol! Yea, to get the "vocal effect" Samuel Beam must be taking some sort of benzodiazapine, hydromorphone, lithium or combo thereof. Still, dig the subtly pyschedelic folk sound. |
