I have to go home and pull out this CD again. I haven't listened to it in ages. FYI, it's good throughout.

Noteworthy. I enjoyed the instrumentation. I can't imagine that they'd be any good live, but this tune has a good groove.

Echoing others' sentiments, I really love this whole album. I also am loving their side-project/collaboration, under the moniker "13 & God", with a group called "Themselves". The music is very much Notwist, but the vocals are an almost indescribably singsong/drone type of rap. It's so different and interesting that I can't help but like it.

One word of warning... this album is NOTHING like The Notwist's other CDs. Their previous albums were much heavier, punkish, crude, and loud. I never much cared for them.
This CD, on the other hand, is a masterpiece.
completely agree ... get the CD and listen to it. i mean, listen. just listen. it elevates but does not take you away from reality. it puts you on alert, but a very comfortable one.
oh, and never have found an electronic music album where lyrics and music go so well with each other. |
