Listen to the new Album "Insides" from Jon Hopkins. An excellent mixture of classic, piano and electronic music.
Plus a little bit of dubstep. :)

Read your post, imagined doing so down a winding country road as the tune played... wow. {#Hearteyes}

The pleasure of the infinite is attained through music. Just another example of Bill's range-of-ear.
Thank you again for all the pleasures, which include items like this.

I've a weakness for Imogen Heap as it is (thanks to RP, of course), but this is just yummy!

Wow. A collaboration that was meant to be. Who is this guy?

A synth walk in the park at sunrise. The strings behind the piano really sucks me in. Outstanding. Going on my watch list.

y'all realize that if they wanted an authentic drum sound, they'd use a sample of a real drum and not a synth right?

Long live the 808!

THIS IS AN UTTERLY OVERWHELMING AND HAUNTING TRACK

I thought at first the vocals weren't necessary.
A few plays later; i think it's those harmonising vocals that give it an unearthly haunyting quality.

but boy is it impossible to get the few lyrics online.

can anyone help :))

Check out the Wikipedia entry for the motet at (click here)

It has the lyrics for the original.

They're singing the Tallis motet "Spem in Alium"; that's most of the words I can hear, just the phrase "spem in alium", but if you google I expect you can find the full words to the motet.

Hello,

The fake drumming just rubs me the wrong way -- the hits sound like the there is a vacuum sucking down the heads; which is the opposite of a drum stick hitting them. Boring. If they were being played by a human in the real analog world, there would be soul. 3 (or less)...

Not a bad choice - probably sounds great because I am zonked from a Baltimore to Raleigh drive today that took 9 hours due to accidents and road construction...so in my spaced out state (being near midnight here in NC), it is perfect for this moment.

As an odd aside, I. Heap sung "Lonely Little Petunia" on the Six Feet Under soundtrack...

Saw John H live in The Spitz in London when Jon Redfern played earlier this year - very impressive indeed.

Immi's songs are much more interesting musically. They actually go somewhere. This song stays in the same place from start to finish.

I think it is one of those songs that is meant to ascend spiritually... at least for me.

I imagine an ancient river, and a slow flow through a mystic wood.
