It's funny—I took a one-year break from listening to RP because my computer kept dropping the station.  During that time, I stopped ordering new CD's, and was listening to one of the good local radio stations online.

This month, I started listening to RP again, and have ordered 6 new CD's in the past two weeks, adding to my collection of hundreds of CD's that would have NEVER been purchased without the existience of Radio Paradise.

Anyone else hear VAST influences?

Better question: Is VAST old enough or known enough to be influential?

Agree - although I can't help being reminded of "All the lonely people" by America.

I guess I'm the only one that thought this was sort of Beatlesque, (although not in a slavish way).  I like it!{#Daisy}

Yeah, I agree. I thought that this was a B-side off the new album or something. Sounds just like their newest CD.

Me too. I've never heard of this band before so for a second I was all excited "Is this some super secret Thom Yorke side-project I don't know about?!"
Oh well...

Thanks for the heads up on that. What a great perspective: a band that totally embraces the idea of music lovers driving music distribution rather than the shitty RIAA.

Indeed! I just downloaded the whole album from their site. The band suggested $5 for the album, which is a complete bargain. I paid that, and added another $5 to encourage the initiative.

They even go so far as to say that "the record business needs to adapt as soon as possible to a changed world." A concept I'm sure is also shared by Bill and Rebecca...?

Good call, Tux. That also probably explains why they just played at South by Southwest in Austin this year. Only shitty bands there, huh?

Jets Overhead rule because they are from Canada.

Also they are great because I wrote them an email and they wrote back and because they played with the Dandy Warhols.
