Sounded like a struggling wedding or prom band - that being said, I did enjoy it.

So you have a problem with Ed's voice. Think it might only work when in a concert setting. Ok.
Couldn't disagree more. He has a wonderful, evocative and unique style.
Now I also appreciate sitting around the house on Saturday listening to Dylan, Waits, Young and Costello as well as say Bowie, Mercury and McCartney to name three almost universally agreed great singers.
So Ed ain't your thing. I love him.
I love all of those singers you named as well, Eddie Vedder still sucks balls. |

Eddie Vedder delivers the tortured voice of lost love perfectly and makes this song a rock 'n' roll classic!

I think the raters before me had it about dead on, based on a better than pretty good through much of its run, but no better than a 6.1 due to the mute button at the end. So, not a PJ-hater, but more of a lover-hater. Maybe we could add letters to the ratings. I give it a 6.L-H.

I think the Pearl Jam haters should give them some credit. They have been around for a while. They survived the Seattle grunge scene ( unlike so many others) and they have stuck true to what the do. I like them. They have written some great songs OK, P.J. haters bring it on .

Eddie Vedder. What can I say? He sounds like he's trying really hard. I actually like "Black" in spite of the vocals...

Besides, one doesn't need to be a chef to dislike steak tartar.
Yeah, right! No thanks. Besides, one doesn't need to be a singer to know they already don't like someone else's tone! |

Many would say "they can't sing" Where would rock and roll be without them (and Eddie - who IMHO is a fantastic singer) - answer Pat Boone.
I never said he "couldn't sing" so your premise is wrong. I said I don't like his voice. But to answer your question, I like just about everyone on your list. |

Yes, with the Band Pearl Jam and Mr. Edward Louis Severson III "Jerome Turner" is a dilemma, can go thus of the very good one to thus-thus, until the bad; good performance in this ocasion.
