Always love this, not just because the ethereal swoon it brings, but the associations, as well:
—as The Dude found out, while THIS SONG plays in the background, Jackie Treehorn mixes a mean Caucasian!
Rock on with the groovy tunes, RP!

When I recommended "The Big Lebowski" to my rather innocent parents, it'd been a while since I'd watched it. I'd forgotten a lot of the craziness and cursing, including the scene in which Walter Sobchak (John Goodman) smashed the crap out of car with a tire iron while bellowing over and over "This is what happens when you FUCK a stranger in the ass!"
I realized my oversight while watching the movie on the tiny screen attached to a gym treadmill. I started muttering "Oh shit" each time Walter bellowed his lesson, which earned me a few odd looks from my sweaty neighbors...
My parents actually liked the movie—my dad still giggles when hears the word "fuck", believe it or not. This still cracks him up:
The Stranger: There's just one thing, Dude. The Dude: And what's that? The Stranger: Do you have to use so many cuss words? The Dude: What the fuck you talking about? The Stranger: Okay, Dude. Have it your way. |
