The band used to throw out a different explanation depending on who was interviewing. At one point Neil Finn said it was a church he saw on Sunset Blvd. |

So moody and unsettling. Neil Finn at this best. Great song, great album.

This cassette lived in the player in my '85 Pontiac Sunbird for quite a while, years ago. Seems like whenever I hear one of the cuts from Temple, I'm taken back to tearing ass down the highway to who-knows-where, with the amber dashboard lights staring back at me.

Couldn't disagree more. This is one of the best songs that never got played off this album. Great tune with a depth of feeling that is lacking on so much of todays schlock music. |

The chord progression and counterpoint in the chorus will tear your heart out. Masters of the craft.

Mice add. Crowded House doesn't sound much better than they do here. Love the organ at then end of the song. |

It would be rude to say that is two too many. So I will go with one too many.
sorry underarm, rp could play crowded house even more and there would be a lot of happy people out here in listener land. |

No, we can't stop with the Halloween songs until we play this one. And there can never be enough Crowded House. Thanks, Bill (and thanks to lunar1963 and Mari for requesting it). I'm a happy camper.
