Um, are we listening to the same song? The one with these lyrics?

'Cause I don't get that same vibe...

I certainly thought it is about . . . secular pleasures, shall we say.

This is a guilty pleasure song for me. . . I have it on a mix cd I made and I just adore it, yet I would be embarassed if I actually had to admit that I liked it in public. Which I sort of just did. Sigh.

Wow, these guys are a great find. After hearing this I checked out the rest of the album and was quite taken with it. Not sure if they'll ever break through in the states with that name, tho.

He doesn't have a wicked soul. And that's the point. No matter how righteous one is, it never seems one can be perfect enough. It is the longing for the best one can be and endlessly falling short of Man's glorious destiny that this song is about. He feels wicked because he is so far from being truly good. Not because he is not good but because perfection is so far from what is humanly possibly.

This probably doesn't make much sense. Hopefully someone better with words will pick up this thread. (anyway... fantastic song, it penetrates my soul and I feel it what he is trying to communicate.)

These guys have the potential for greatness.
Great voice, good hooks, good composing.
And their first album has spawned five singles...

Very catchy melody in the chorus, but his singing is just a little too polite. I'm just not convinced he really, truly has a wicked soul.

For info, kubb is is an outdoor game where the object is to knock over wooden blocks by throwing wooden sticks at them. The word "Kubb" (rhymes with rube) means "wooden block" in the Gotland dialect of Swedish.

The band is British though.

Cool lyrics that do not match the music.
