i started my love affair with the jacket with "at dawn".  i think it is a really accessible album and the sound on that album is AMAZING, if you like their reverb i guess.  (personally i LOVE it.  that album was recorded inside an old silo.  wonderous...)  any way you slice it though, they are all different and they are all good.  dig in!  itadakimasu!

Agreed... Z is a terrific album.
That said, the first record I purchased from them was Okonokos (live album).
MMJ are so good live, and that album not only shows off their skill, but it gives a good selection of songs.
It includes the best from Z, as well as other work.

Cool tune!  Reminds me of Neil Young with the guitar - but much better voice on this song.

Count me as the minority! I can't stand em and for the life of me just don't get all the hooplah over them!{#No} Oh well! To each his own, viva la diversity!

all the negative comments. . . . MMJ allways trick me.  I hear this great sounding, unique tune, then out of pure curiousity, I have to check to see who it is.
. . .only to find out most of you think they suck.

man, I guess I just have no taste - I like something different now and then. I like them. Thanks RP for playing them!

this band formed in 1998 has been faithful and known to keep its proper identity, also has fact enormous progresses in the way to make music, what it is a factor of great importance and that i appreciate. -

Sounds Like one of those "off- year" Neil Young Albums that didn't quite work out. (and Yes, I'm a huge Neil fan).

Something about the caterwauling singing really rubs me the wrong way.  Normally I like this kind of music, but the voice ruins it for me.  Reminds me of REM at its worst.
