A pompous song from a highly overrated band.

Saw them last week in Vancouver......so many great production special effects that no one noticed all the lip syncing.
Fortunately, I was sitting very close to the stage and had a great sight line between the microphone and Matt Bellamy.
Best song of the evening was "Madness"

Yep, and deliberately and wonderfully excessively so. Muse are worthy pomp-rock successors to Queen, and for all the melodrama their songs are intelligent and educated, like Queen's. I think that they also have their tongues at least halfway into their cheeks. This is a BIG song, and I just wish it was pumping into some heavy-duty stacks that could be heard in the next country, not just 'phones.

You got it in one, Fred.

Yep....a new single is playing on local radio here. Madness was released late Aug.

That song Madness is great, I'd give it a 10 if it ever gets played here.   It's the first Muse song I liked and it made me buy the CD.

"Map Of The Problematique"

Fear and panic in the air
I want to be free
From desolation and despair
And I feel like everything I sow
Is being swept away
Well I refuse to let you go

I can't get it right
Get it right
Since I met you

Loneliness be over
When will this loneliness be over

Life will flash before my eyes
So scattered and lost
I want to touch the other side
And no one thinks they are to blame
Why can't we see
That when we bleed we bleed the same

I can't get it right
Get it right
Since I met you

Loneliness be over
When will this loneliness be over
Loneliness be over
When will this loneliness be over

Thanks to Chris for adding these lyrics.
Thanks to Camille, derek.2701, Cynthia for correcting these lyrics.

Less New Order than Depeche Mode, IMHO. Maybe Depeche2 or UMode?

Agreed with both of you before even reading comments - New Order when the music started, U2 when the vocals started.  Good stuff, either way.
