WOA... that came out of nowhere. Jolt of memory and on to the next song—perfect example of how sound is tied to recall.

(and I dont think these count, but the theme from House and the old Chris Elliot show Get a Life... and more I'm probably not thinking of right now...) We need to work on getting The Ballad of Serenity added though... |

AWESOME! Didn't expect to hear this at all and thought I had played it by accident from my iTunes library. Hope you are able to play other selections from the BSG soundtrack. Bear McCreary is a musical genius!

sajitjacob wrote:Frack! that was weird. It's actually that short huh? Good way to end the Teng->Beethoven suicide section. Suicide is painless would have been truly amusing. Was never meant to be anything more than a title and preview bed. The main theme from "The Plan", titled "Apocalypse" fleshes (so to speak) the theme out slightly more but not significantly. Basically, Bear and the BSG Orchestra combine fragments of the original main title sequences with thematic portions from his reimagining of "All Along the Watchtower", interesting, but still not a real deep treatment of the theme. All in all, it's similar to the Doctor Who theme in that there's just not that much original material to work with and you'd be caught composing if wanting to extend the piece much. |

Damn that was short & abrupt! I liked it, but don't watch that show so it wasn't familiar — to me it sounded just like Lisa Gerrard from Dead Can Dance.

Every time Abhi watches this show, I do an interpretive vocalise (read: awful squawking rendition) on this tune. Comedy ensues.

Not just the theme but he did the complete soundtracks for BSG and the Sarah Conner Chronicles. www.bearmccreary.com. Anyone heard them? |
