I consider myself "Captain Surf-O," a title to which I have absolutely no legitimate claim.   I declare this a very nice surf tune.  8.  There are better ones; I would encourage Bill to rummage-about in the numerous very-good contemporary surf collections.  There is some really good stuff out there.   I rather do like the Retroliners.  There is also plenty of great old stuff.

The water doesn't get very warm in California.  Even in So Cal at the end of August, it likely won't be over 72 degrees.

i'm from tx on vacation in ca. in tx we've been surfing with just boardshorts for about a month and a half. evidently it doesn't get warm enough for that till another month or so in ca. i did not bring my wet suit. i am not smart.
this song reminds me that i should have brought my wetsuit.

whatever, i still have rp. btw, california is great with or without the water activities. beautiful!!
