Well put. Tom's music is not for the simple-minded.

Oh, well now. If it's in Shrek 2 that just shifts my whole paradigm of the universe and everything. Shrek 2 is the greatest movie since Ice Age 2!

Kheeerhist TOM!  Me thinks you need to stop singing now.  I give it a decent 5 only because I like TW.   But jeeezus...sounds like the wino I passed in the subway passageway tunnel on my way from here to there in NYC.

Just sayin'..

Hideous.  Just dropped it from a 4 to a 3.  "Ho-Hum" is kind for this POS track.

If you don't like it, you just don't like it - fine.  That doesn't mean that those who enjoy Tom Waits' work are "lemmings", but if you feel a need to insult those whose tastes are different from yours, go on.  However, the word "genius" is woefully over-used.

"inho"?

{#Lol} For the sound and atmosphere, you're spot on. The lyrics are a wee bit darker than the Addams Family, though. Ol' gravel-voice is positively tuneful here compared to his normal voice, almost Singalongatom. A great songwriter and street poet.

Very smart man. Singer?
Funny thing about singers, note perfect & no emotion = dead, rough sounding & emotion =soul.

That may explain It. Me, I still don't "get" Tom Waits. :-/
