Sorry to hear that about your dad. I met Lonnie back in the mid-70s when I was working as a radio DJ and occasionally helping a friend who had a bar/nightclub that booked acts. Seemed like a nice guy. Hard to believe he's still on the road playing dates. He should get some kind of award for longevity, like Richard Thompson. |

Ahhh Lonnie's an old friend - started a band call South with my dad years ago; my dad & Lonnie talked about their next project - producing a then unknown Stevie Ray. My dad died an untimely death just prior to the release of South's debut album... and we all know what happened to Stevie... those were great times - hope to write a screenplay about the whole thing one day soon... thanks for that it gave me chills to hear it.
