boy, yeah. i mean, i can about guarantee that neko did not cover this song because she heard it one day and said "ew, i can do that so much better". rather, i think she is paying beautiful tribute to a wonderful song by bob.

I can understand people who can't take Dylan's voice. I happen to love Dylan's singing...warts and all. But to say the man shouldn't publish???? |

Give me Dylan any day. Celine Dion makes me wish I was on the Titanic.

Especially when it comes to listenability over the long haul . . .
No disrespect, bpkengor (people in glass houses shouldn't throw around witty moniker critiques) but I'm guessing you're in the camp of folks who don't like singers such as Randy Newman or Tom Waits because they are not necessarily the "usual" sound/tonality.
Give me singers like them any day.
And btw . . . I'm not in the "only the original writer's version is good" camp . . . for ex., I like the Jose Feliciano version of "Light My Fire" better than the Doors . . . much more listenable over the years.
But anyway . . . nice to discuss music with you, dude! guys with nasal voices like Dylan & Newman & Waits should not even be allow to record, much less publish. We need more voices like Karen Carpenter & Celine Dion... |

It's pretty good so I gave it a 6. Dylan's original is better.

This version of Dylan's song would segue with George Harrison's version of Dylan's "If Not For You" very nicely.

I agree with Dylan comments... My view is a bit more sexist... A guy's take on the words is different from a woman's... same words, different meaning... her version wouldn't be added to the soundtrack of "Wonder Boys"...

Makes one think, which Dylan cover is better - this or Sinead Lohen's To Ramona?

Neko sang this on "Austin City Limits" and that recording is far superior. It's even more stripped down than this and it just sparkles.
