Better to witness live, at the local watering hole, after a few refreshments.

Wow this sounds like that late late night jam after several shots of tequila that nobody expected was caught on tape. Hoowee.

Neither man at his best. But neither at their worst, either. Tolerable.

Truth in labeling: This should have been called the Jerry Lee Lewis Welfare Project. Maybe a good cause, but a tedious song.

No. Please.
Jerry Lee was The Killer. Bruce was The Boss.
Let me remember them the way they were.

Everything I've heard from this album sounds to me like Jerry is a few years past his prime. But it's still 'The Killer', so past his prime is still pretty hot.
The album feels more like a tribute album than a real musical effort. But that's okay too, they're obviously having fun and that counts for a lot.

edit: my mistake, I was sure I'd heard Jerry Lee Lewis sing this before Springsteen. After some research, it's a duet.

Always been one of my favorite Bruce songs (hey, shut up!), and having Jerry Lee Lewis contribute doesn't hurt it. Is the Clarence Clemons on the horn? I'm really enjoying this -- a great early morning pick-up!
