This is really nice and making my mellow mood I am trying to keep here, even more mellow.

Tommy Emmanuel is not only a genius acoustic guitarist, he is also one of the most entertaining musicians I have seen perform. The venue was Edinburgh's Usher Hall. Emmanuel was opening for Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings. Out strolls this guy with an acoustic. "Bring on the band!", I'm thinking. Then he plays. It was magic. The variation in pace and content was astonishing. And the musical "jokes" made the whole audience laugh out loud.

Lovely stuff.

His guitar work is clearly impressive.  But YAWN to the max.

Suddenly I'm at a buffet in a hotel on Maui. The fat lady wears shows to her gray haired husband playing the guitar. 

We need more  accoustic guitar instrumentals on RP but  hopefully with faster tempo.

Tommys' large body of work is well worth a look for those unfamiliar with his genius.............

this is JUST what i need right now... at the tail end of a stressful task late at night at work. then this comes on and wow. beautiful and soothing.

Reminds me of a Les Paul arrangement on this tune, though it has other elements and uniqueness and total mastery of the geeetar as harp in Emmanuel's mind blowing playing. I bet more people would like it if it wasn't Over the Rainbow.

He is a really excellent guitar player, but at the end, this is just instrumental elevator music, and I would like to hear less of that on RP. None, in fact.

I have GOT to finally add this cd to my collection. Been looking at it a couple years. What a great piece. It costs about the same as 2 shares of Ford common stock.

What a lovely version to take the edge of of this craptasitic Monday afternoon.

I'm a sucker for acoustic guitar, but this one borders on mawkish.
