Is this ANOTHER one of those "my mommie and daddie were bad to me so I'll show them, I'll cut myself" songs?

Tiresome.

Find a Group.

Songs alright; like most, I'm not a fan and find him uncomfortable to watch perform (seen a couple tv appearances). He seems nervous like he's keenly aware of his poser status.

For every 100 songs, I hand out one rating of 1. Congratulations, Mr. Blunt (isn't that the sound you make when you catch yourself from vomiting?). Insipid would be a compliment.

Every time I hear this I think, "It could be worse, he could be playing phil collins."

These days thats enough to get a 7 out of me. Spite puts it to 10.

Like syrup on scented soap.
When I heard this, I said "OK, this is a woman." I had my doubts, however. It can't be the same 'guy' who did that pop tune "...& I don't know what to do..." I remember that I first thought it was about a lesbian becoming infatuated with a woman that she saw "at a crowded place". Stupid lyrics, however. "I've got a plan..." but then "I don't know what to do.."

The falsetto that he so proudly exhibits makes Joan Armatrading sound like Lee Marvin.

I probably offent numerous people here but the first thing that springs to mind when I hare JB is: "What is this song of Damian Rice I've not heard before?".

As I'm giving this tune a 1 Bill's redeeming himself with Joseph Arthur's Honey and the Moon.

I have to agree with the consensus, though --- James Blunt should be gassed from the RP playlist.

Not the greatest, but I've heard much worse. Even right here on RP.

It wouldn't break my heart if I never heard this song again.

Still... I'll take this over the Kings of Leon. That voice just grates me.

If 'eclectic' is going to mean anything, then yes, of course he belongs here. I can't stand this, but I defend Bill's right to push our boundaries and make us face up to our prejudices.

I have submitted some very solid songs that have not made the cut and this makes it through? I certainly am mistified even further when I see an artist like this make the grade.
