Funny. The boneheads in my office call it Radio Punishment.com and sometimes I admit it is.

Good God. Ordinary - and endlessly - boring. Neil, go away. Quietly. Not like waterboarding. Like fingernails on blackboarding.

never sold out, and still gives a great show. Massey hall last month. "No Hidden Path and Cortez were outstanding. Somebody yelled out Thanks for the years, his response was "You can have them, I wish I never did". He tells it like it is or he beleives. True to himself with a conscience!!!!

I lot better than todays crap with a few exceptions.

I prefer not to be preached at by my music. Maybe a little subtlety is in order Neil?

I can’t help - Neil always sounds if this is a live recording. Slightly out of tune, not very well balanced...

But I never hear audience cheering... Well, I would’nt cheer, too.

Neil's still great..wonky and under produced yes but that's why it works for me...and he never sold out...
I've never been stuck behind him in the left lane however.

I don't disagree that this tune is Neil making us suffer for art, and a 5 rating says we're not alone. That said, I'll take Neil over GWB in any universe. Hopefully when you calm down you'll get some perspective back.

On a lighter note, I don't think I've seen a listener rating distribution as flat as this ... people are literally all over the place on the tune.

Horst can be a hater, but he's not always wrong. Personally, I find that Neil's voice ruins nearly every song. But I do agree that GWB is much worse.

According to one of the music rags (Blender), this song is "an 18-minute dystopian hallucination of fixed prizefights, drug lords, vigilantes, the collapse of domestic industry, and worker revolution." Discuss.

I used to be a lukewarm Neil Young fan. Then I bought "Freedom." For me, that album proves he's a musical genius with few peers - cut after cut blew me away and still do. After my epiphany, I can't understand the haters. Clearly Bill and many other RP listeners agree.

Fine. If listeners could be confronted with this, we can also bother them with the full length of Who do you love in the version of Quicksilver Messenger Service. So please go ahead at once!

The Definition of AGONY

Your computer freezes while listening to RP... you can't reset the computer because an important document is open. And this song comes on.

I literally started swearing at the computer and Neil.

Dear god, what an overlong, self-indulgent, brassy craptastic song. PLEASE do not play it again.
