Definitely music built for a film scene -- flying, driving, riding, walking, somewhere, and thinking back.

A bit too repetitive. He certainly loves that verse melody.

CaptainPicard - the rest of the album is great. In the same vein, but with some songs that are a little more lively too.

Intro reminds me of Brain Eno - and that is a good thing!

I don't know what it is about those soft descending notes on the piano that move me, but it happens every time I hear this song.

Well said.  However, I'd add to that that this is one of the greatest songs of all.  Hauntingly beautiful.

this is the only piece of his music I have on my iphone and I listen to it every time I'm either landing or taking off in a plane.  great way to set the tone for whatever may come next...

Wow, I really needed to hear a song that does exactly what this song does. I love the music Ray LaMontagne makes. Thank you.
