Great transition piece from dire straits to a new artist ( for me) that was mighty fine!

Can't complain about a smokin' banjo! Not possible to be crabby with a banjo riff rockin' the speakers.

Great song, if ya mention the Dirt band ya have to mention John Hartford too his Aereo-Plain is a great album preceeded "Circle" and has Norman Blake , Vassar Clements, Randy Scruggs and Tut Taylor on it and was produced by David Bromberg and done in one take. I looked for it on cd and they had 2 used copies at $111, I guess thats vinyl which I have 2 lol wish I had about 10. Oh and Tut Taylor sold Neil Young Hank Williams Sr's Martin guitar which Neil still plays

I am sure Steve learned a lick or two from John, but according to Wikipedia he was playing banjo while working at Disneyland in his teen years. But oh... I remember seeing him with the Dirt Band, and the "Steve Martin Mull Review" tour.... back in the day. He is a talented banjo picker. |
