geez mr rogers, if this beautiful song annoys you psd it.  Seems not to register high marks with you and is not close to your favorite "10" pointers, maybe just try another tune when this comes on again.

Am I the only one who finds her everpresent use of portamento somewhat annoying?

Yes, she has a nice, smoky, jazzclub timbre to her voice, but she's constanly sliding her notes up and down as if they were strippers on greasy poles.  Perhaps it's written into the songs she sings and she's just producing the notes as they're written, in which case it's the songs themselves that I'm having trouble appreciating.  If she's doing it to sound sultry, it's lost on me.  Of course, I'm just a guy, so maybe there's a reason I don't get it...

KD has such an amazing voice.  Saw her in concert this past summer and her live show illustrates how professional and entertaining she is.

Not a big KD Lang fan.  But I have to say I rather like this song.

It's nice to hear a song from someone who can sing.  Why is that rare?

You may want to re-methink your theory. If one were "hearing a bit too much Auto-Tune", then that person would be more likely to believe that the ability to sing well is not rare.  Just sayin'.  {#Wink}

Cracks me up that the television CD ads in Australia present k.d. as mainstream country.  Don't think that would be the case in more narrow-minded countries. {#Curtain}

Hmm... Perhaps it's the stream I'm on, but when she goes low she sounds like a robot.  Smokiness, robotness... what's the difference?  ;)

128k AAC+, by the way, so I'm not really sure what's going on there.  I should note that this caused me to listen to a bunch of my other music to see if there's something screwy with my settings, but everything else seems fine!
