Just saw her at the Largo in L.A. last night. The night before she was at the Hollywood Bowl with Peter Gabriel. She was perfect and very nice to us all. In person her voice is perfect. There were only about 60 of us and she took the time to thank us all and sign for us. She is as sweet and sincere as they come. I wish all could see her sing, it is a treat I would do it again in a heart beat.

Beautiful song with a voice so tender and the lyrics seem a metaphorical journey of the heart. |

Her remains were spread out like the pieces of a puzzle it took her 365 days putting them together the pieces were quite difficult to distinguish from each other
What is this? The soundtrack from CSI: Miami?

The first part of this post stated only would have made it genius. If I had seen that, I'd still be "snort" laughing. 6 and some change. |

Another artist to check out...Radio Paradise is keeping me busy. Really like this. |

That 'quirky' syncopation reminded me of "Froggy went a Courtin', he did right...Cranbone..."
Can't say that I like, can't say that I hate it. 5

No, you are not alone. I like this. Nice, pretty...and haunting. Good combo!

I give it a '6'... unless my 'ear' grows to appreciate it more. An interesting story in the lyrics, a bold syncopation in the rhythm but it's just a bit too different... right now. |

I'm surprised by all the negative comments. But then, I like Bjork, some Tori, and the occasional Nordic Elf. Works for me.

It's good to try new things. Although sometimes it can be painful. Ouch!

this song of Ms. Ane Brun is what it is called to be creative against-the-chain, the standart, the musically correct; also if it can say fidiciary office to its principles and its style, to its aesthetic one, to be honest; therefore these songs are not ready-to-hear, she is necessary to discover, and later it is liked and appreciate (or not); that it is as who says, to love is necessary to know first.... ** 7 / 8 ** |

I thought it was the McGarrigle Sisters. I think it's ok. No better, no worse than said Sister's work. |

interesting ... and very nice! maybe too special for the most. But ratings aren't everything, and not always indicator for the quality of music (whatever this might be)

This song goes really deep for me. The bridge abuts awkward (pun intended) a radical change in texture, where the lyrics say "her remains were spread all over" or something. The deep bass sounds work well.

I really would like to like her. After all, she gets a disproportionate amount of airplay here. (Is she a relative, Bill?) But her voice really grates on me. Sorry Ane.
