Cheesy but well-executed, and that means fun.

It's very very strange to me when people say that because as a musician (well, mediocre bass player) and huge fan I simply can't fathom how Caleb's vocals bother so many people? I find a huge percentage also LOVE them though, and I am certainly in that category, as they are so visceral, raw and unprocessed... original, that it's just really refreshing. Keep listening...especially "Cold Dessert", "Arizona" and "Closer" :)

I really couldn't say — they only part I can easily understand is the "Your sex is on fire" bit, which doesn't make me want to pay attention and suss out the rest. Not to mention, since that's all I can understand the song puts a rather unattractive and painful image in my mind. (OUCH!  {#Roflol})

"Kings of Leon" need to find a new lyricist and singer. The music is terrific, the rest of it just isn't.

i totally agree. it seems like there could be a corporate version (for selling sneakers, and the like) that features the lyrics.

btw, did bill just say 'kings of lima' or am i just disoriented?

if it weren't for this video, I wouldn't know the lyrics.

I'd probably like this song more (got a good guitar riff and the band are competent 'jammers') but it's SO OVERPLAYED on the radio, that I just can't get into it anymore

Pretty good song overall ... unfortunately, it suffers of the A.O.S (acutely overplayed syndrome) {#Sunny}

The lyrics leave much to be desired, but I'll be damned if the music isn't just oozy rock goodness.

This sax is on fire?!  Don't like this song.  Never did.  Based on this one song, I think Kings of Leon are over-rated.  Perhaps if I heard other stuff by them, I might change my perception.{#Yawn}

Please... I'm so over this song. It is played incessantly on mainstream radio. And it reminds me of my ex, so I start to feel crappy about myself when I hear it. How about some Reba McEntire?

Funny, until they had a radio hit KOL was a band that was acceptable to like. But I guess they sold out, huh? Forget that train of logic they are far and away one of the best rock acts around with one of the best live shows out there. Loved um since Youth and Young Manhood and will continue to. Keep on keepin; on Kings.
  People often accuse a band of "selling out" when they start to sell good quantities of their music.  But isn't that what all artists want - to get their music to the people?

I think you make a fair point.  These lyrics are pretty bad.  They have plenty of other bad lyrics to go with this.  Nevertheless, I think this is probably one of the top 5 CDs of the decade.  The guitar riffs are unreal.  I also bought the CD they put out before this and got nothing out of it.  Remember the progression of the Beatles...
