"Keep You Happy" Lyrics by Songwriter Tift Merritt:
The sky is turning and longing for something far away The moon?s a tear drop, see slowly as it falls away Miles running down a face, everything?s bound to change It?s bound to change
Day breaks of tenderness, so hold me here like this So still and quiet as if it might keep you happy Oh, keep you happy, oh, keep you happy, oh, keep you happy
A feeling has me and tells me it will never stay Your heart beats miles now, I feel them as they run away Close gets so far away, close gets so far
Day breaks of loneliness, I?d weather all of this If I could find a place where I?d keep you happy Oh, keep you happy, oh, keep you happy, oh, keep you happy
Why do we pretend there is something to hold onto? See how my world fell in, I was trying to hold you I was just trying to hold you
Night is a gypsy he tells me he will never stay Miles are like heart beats, I know them as they fly away See how they fly away, see as I fly
Day breaks of restlessness, I?m filled with all of this But deep inside what will I find to keep me happy Oh, keep me happy, oh, keep me happy, oh, keep me happy, oh

"Keep You Happy"....!?? rtrudeau: the choice of songs to represent particular album, a particular artist, is at the discretion subjective of each one and not always the choice of RP-production are the happiest and the songs that most artists can benefit, since they songs are the ones that will run on airplay. For example, in my opinion, i find it very questionable to leave out the most original song of the album: "Keep You Happy ", or even "I Know What I'm Looking for Now". Btw, and I still think: "songs exist, to the times, that it seems equal to as much others...."

But I gotta ask, are you a non-English speaker using a translation engine, or are you an English speaker using a translation engine to seem exotic?
It's a very advanced program: the Random Bullshit Generator 2.0 |

I do like some aspects of the backing instrumentation, but I really don't like her straight, regimented vocals. Country vocals can definitely grab me, but this - not so much.

She looks so much like my nextdoor neighbor that it's spooky. I told her that and she's never heard of Tift Merritt, even though the song "Broken" got quite a bit of air time on one local radio stations.

What does gender bending have to do with it? Oh, wait. Nevermind. |
