She has a cool name and a nice album cover. She should sing better than this.

There's just something reassuring about an area called "OK."  Kind of like a self-affirmation.  (No disrepect, sir.)

I think the "pop tune" might be part of the problem.  I know people use the term "clear channel" and "pop" interchangeably (rightly or wrongly depends on your tastes) and many people don't like it because it is a pop tune.  There is a certain predictability and comfort with pop type music that I generally don't like.  It isn't because it isn't catchy or good, but often because it's too much like everything else that's out there and too easy.  A song that is catchy and easy to process will capture the attention of the people who don't really want to have to listen to a song to process it.  I can appreciate that viewpoint in today's busy society, but I prefer songs with more depth.

Not that this is a BAD song, it just doesn't bring much to the table aside from being catchy.  It's a solid 6, but isn't going to be anything that is going to stand up to repeated listening.

I remember this song is not liked much here, some critics were even pretty bad!

I cannot agree!

The song has anything one can expect from a good pop-song!

Rhythm, super melody, drive, harmonies - what the hell is missing?

I LOVE IT!!!

I was going to write some witty quip, but I instead opted to let this comment stand on its own.

In a recent show in Berkeley she mentioned that this song is about Woody Guthrie. That is not obvious, is it? She is a reasonably good performer, but was not hitting the higher notes without a good deal of evident straining. On another subject, it is true that there is an abundance of female singers these days playing acoustic guitar, etc. However, this is one worth listening to.

It's the Richard Shindell connection; he produced this album for Antje, and he is also in Cry, Cry, Cry with Dar Williams.  Small circle.

this is a statement "bad to the bone" - straight from the supermarket!

What now...?

Woman-hater or Morphine-lover?

This is a difficult genre in which to stand out among the rest. Sad to say
 many singers in this genre sound a lot alike. Yet she does
a good a job, perhaps with lyrics and cadence ? Whatever it is,
she is unique enough to stand out as a very listenable artist.{#Cheers}
