Love the song, love her, but the drumming on this song seems a little off. . . but I am being overly picky

You know they call them killer whales
But you seem surprised
When it pinned you down to the bottom of the tank
Where you can't turn around
It took half your leg and both your lungs
And I craved I ate hearts of sharks, I know you know it

Mr. Churchill was right - two cultures separated by a common language. Thanks for the reflective humility lesson, there are so many things I think I know but really just have a small taste of.

This is the FIRST Neko Case song that I actually dislike. Go figure. I LOVE nearly everything else. It's just...I don't know, so bland for her.

Neko gave her mom her house in Arizona, which not only makes Neko cooler than she already is ... it also means we lose our favorite waitress!!!

What??? 130 degrees for 6 months straight, surrounded by sand and agave, 400 miles from the nearest ocean isn't better than 80 degrees and 15mph tradewinds blowing from the surrounding ocean?? Hee Hee.

I like Neko, but never understood why so many people were so into her stuff until I heard this one.

Maybe I'm just getting too old/deaf to hear the lyrics the first time..{#Roflol}

Saw her live in Omaha 10 days ago - great concert! This song is actually available to download/play on Rock Band, my current social entertainment addiction.

My current favorite song! 9!

Love the chiming guitar - sounds like an electric 12-string?

Amazing lyrics, powerful vocal delivery, tight, sensitive playing by the band.

Thanks RP for introducing me to Neko!

This song, with 4 others, is on Neko's MySpace site. I've really liked all her numbers played on RP, which is a bit of a surprise as I loathe C&W and don't usually go much on plain C, yet she seems to 'transcend her genre', as the poncey critics would say. 7 from the Nottingham jury. And isn't it just my luck, she plays in Nottingham on 12th September just when I'll be away at a conference - D'OH!!

Don't be fooled. Genre means nothing. She's neither country nor western, just tinged with it!

Neko was absolutely amazing at Massey Hall on July 14.  She was very nervous but did a magnificent job. The onstage banter was amusing as well.  I wish I could go all over again. What a night.

Great (suggestive) lyrics from one who I like the more I hear. I think Neko Case made the NP, as I haven't really become smitten by any of their output since she left.

My first "family" car was a '70 Cougar, bright yellow, black leather interior, resplendent with sequential turn signals, flip-up headlight covers, and gas-guzzling engine. It was a looker but a POS when it came to satisfaction and driving experience. Typical of Detroit's (or more properly, Dearborn's) output, which was trumped mightily by the Far East. Lots of memories, though.

Sure like this song.

Those "Far East" cars from that era aren't worth anything (if you can find one running- throw away cars-and they still are).
And did I mention... they're still boring today.
Compare that with those from the big three from that era.
Some are worth millions.
Gimmie my Mopars any day.

Sure like the song too!

Hey, I'm pretty sure that's Neko's personal car. She mentions an early Cougar (that she is restoring) in the mini-interview Rolling Stone did on her a couple of issues back. {#Clap}
