A song with much the same message as this one may someday help to change the world. Too bad this is not that song. 5.

This really needed to be played now. Those who don't get it need to get beyond their nationalist indoctrination and realize that we're all part of the same biological family. If we can't figure out that basic reality we're all screwed. Things can be worked out at any level; it doesn't have to be so nasty. Nice one, Heather. Thanks so much, Bill.

Admirable sentiment, but I just don't "get" this song. Way over/under my head.

Power to the peaceful and my pity to those too thick to know how important the message is. A big 10.

Especially this bunch of hippy shit. Not even fit for my trashcan.
Music doesn't lie. If there is something to be changed in this world, then it can only happen through music. Jimi Hendrix |

Hey Heather, not sure if you'd heard, but there are now female soldiers. But we can't expect the Heather Nova's of the world to actually know anything about the military or why we have one.

I heard this in the car the other day on RP and wanted to say this is a beautiful song....I'd love to hear it done in a rock and roll manner....much like "The World is A Vampire"

even though i agree with the sentiment of the song, this comes across a bit melodramatic for me... perhaps it would be better to me in a different mood.

Wow!
As a Father of a son in Iraq, and as someone who is direly opposed to this war, this song strikes home... to the heart.
I keep a light in the window Dark band on my heart Some days are better than others Mostly I'm falling apart
I keep his picture beside me I see the dream in his eyes I watch the light disappearing Into unsettled skies
You say the world will be a better place After this war is won You say no sacrifice too great But every soldier is a mother's son
I know he can't take the killing And how it messes with his soul I know the days are unending When you're so far from home
You say the world will be a better place After this war is won You say no sacrifice too great But every soldier is a mother's son
You say the world will be a better place After this war is won You say no sacrifice too great But every soldier is a mother's son
No war that can be won When every soldier is a mother's son No war that can be won When every soldier is a mother's son
I keep a light in the window I keep a vigil inside I say a prayer for those mothers Across the enemy lines
You say the world will be a better place After this war is won You say no sacrifice too great But every soldier is a mother's son
You say the world will be a better place After this war is won You say no sacrifice too great But every soldier is a mother's son
Every soldier is a mother's son Every soldier is a mother's son
