Wow. To attack a gentle and gracious poster who bothers no one is pretty sad. What big men you must be. Thank you for showing us how small you pathetic creatures are. |

RP introduced me to this artist and this song. Subsequently, I bought the CD and the iTunes video. Thanks, Bill and Rebecca! (And Natasha Kahn, you're great!)

I listened to this album in its entirety on a car journey recently, and it's plainly a 'concept album' telling a story as the songs are definitely linked, but I couldn't figure out what the story is. Anybody here know?

I keep up with new music far ahead of just this contemporary adult radio station, I just happen not to like a lot of the newer bands that RP likes to play. I love a lot of new music that is probably considered too avant garde and strange to play on this somewhat conservative albeit very good radio station. It is doubtful that most of the listeners here have even heard of most of the new music that I listen to so don't try to pigeonhole me into an antiquated Classic rock listening old fogey, this could not be more offbase! I'm certainly not going to imply that I have tastes so much more advanced than RP listeners at large, but I do understand what sirdroseph is talking about. As much as I love RP, there is a lot of stuff that I like that wouldn't make the playlist (such as my recent uploads that were shot down) due to either being too odd, too weird, or too unappealing to the majority of the RP listeners. RP isn't conservative or stodgy in any sense and I hear a greater variety of music here than I have ever heard anywhere else, but they don't provide the cutting edge indie music that I like. That's ok, I still listen to RP more than any other kind of radio by far. The way I see it, RP is a large part of my musical life, but when I have a itch RP doesn't scratch, I know where to go. |

It just seems like the majority of the negative comments for this tune came from listeners who have very few songs less than 35-years-old as their "10" through "8" ratings. I didn't mean that as an affront to those folks either - hell, I love plenty of stuff that could be called classic rock as well - I was observing that Bat For Lashes would be more likely to sound "discordant", "noisy" or just "crappy" to those more aligned with more long-accepted forms of popular music.
