It's the same weather today as it was a couple of years back, while I was still at university, when I took my mom to sightsee the campus and the city it was in. She wanted to see it so much, and she still does, even though it's been 3 years since I graduated. Hearing this song in this weather made me realize the fact that I can't go to that past anymore, nor can I relive it. Perhaps I won't even be allowed in the campus grounds because I'm no longer a student, but I can at least take her to the city.
<3 music has that amazing way to bring back the past, but never as fresh as we'd like the memory to be. |

Last time this was on RP I bought the CD. This may be my favorite tune from the whole album. It's quite different from the rest. Love good electric string instruments.

TerryS wrote:A Texan as an arbiter of English useage; hmmm. Support now the growing sentiment to enable Texas to secede from the Union. Think of the benefits: no more Rick Perry; the Dallas Cowboys are just another football team; they get that entire border with Mexico all to themselves. Yes, you'd need a passport to see SXSW, but life is full of trade-offs, eh? |

Without the piano, it would sound remarkably similar to a Romanian "doină" — which also expresses feelings of longing. It can make you weep even if you don't have anyone to miss...
