The only thing whiny here are the haters comments. This is a gorgeous (albeit sad) baring of an artist's heart and soul. Check out Marketa's new solo album "Anar". Absolutely beautiful. |

Weird; this song started playing within a minute of Netflix emailing a notification for shipping "Once".

Bill, please do not listen to these negative comments ... this is a good song, I think, and more like it should be played. Please. Thanks! |

I saw these guys at a music festival. Never having heard of them before, they were a "sleeper" act that blew the audience away. Glen's passion against Marketa's shy yet haunting voice captivate. Happy to see RP picked them up!

Totally agree, romeotuma. And wow - I don't think I've ever seen so many words from you before. (Teasing you, my friend.) You've summed up my thoughts perfectly. Great stuff. Starting at 8, but betting it'll go higher... |

Pretty much in the same musical mood as Emmylou Harris a couple of songs ago. Like 'em both |

I like it too... even though I rated it "3". Something about the song bothers me as being incomplete, or like a songwriter who is unwilling to edit him or herself. It would be fine if it were presented as a demo, work in progress, or around a campfire at Kerrville or something like that. As a producer I'd want to edit, and as a songwriter I'd want to introduce something more in terms of irony in the sentiment... I'm just not convinced by the song. The musicianship is *outstanding* in this band. I wonder if the problem lies in the artists' egos. |

Whatever the merits of the music, this is one gorgeously-produced CD. The piano intro was sparkling.

Nifty! So glad to see Glen and Marketa doing well.
There appears to be a shiny deluxe edition, which includes a live cd and a dvd as well, for a pretty good price over on Amazon...

I can recall all too well an era when one could not escape their songs, sugary, saccharine, cyclamateous, or whichever adjective one chooses (at least in the USA; possibly other countries avoided this problem). It has long puzzled me that they seem to have attracted a following in recent year. This group seems much better, although this is based on only this one song heard here. |

The alternative is...well death really.
Or you can just go the complete opposite end of the spectrum and use the Inward Singing technique made famous by the venerable Tenacious D. That way, they coulda just kept on rocking without pause (or remorse). |
