Well, I thought she just meant holding someone so tight that their skin could break. I just love this song.

But breaking skin usually connotes physical violence or (metaphorically) perhaps sex. The lyrics seem inappropriate and rather disturbing in my view. But the music is fairly good & her voice is nice, so I give it a 6. Better luck next time.

Wow - just during the time I liked this song and gave it a 7, I was searching for lyrics and liked it even more, so bumped it to 8. She's got a phenomenal voice! Still looking for lyrics to "Break Your Skin," but yep - they're pretty non-existent so far. I'll keep trying... I love a challenge.  |
