I don't know just what you mean z, I'm no beatle fan but this song is working it's little magic on me, and I would say that even if I was told Ringo wrote it (or Yoko)

There's an undeniably strong sentimental feeling to this song. The fact that its John's tune makes it pliable today. Had it been Paul's...it would be difficult to digest.

Memories of my sisters and I, standing on chairs playing our yardstick guitars! The oldest always got to be John..

Hard to listen to this without being distracted by them sucking on that joint.

Next phase indeed!

Well, Beatles VI and Help! were recorded after they had met Dylan, but Rubber Soul is more like their first complete session after the meeting, and also the first album where they had written all of the tunes.  Anyhow - his influence is apparent on this album.

Not too sure about that.  Check out the photo again.  Ringo's smile is bigger than the others and look at his open legs, the girl's knee, etc.

Actually, Ringo's ankles are crossed.  Start at the left and count feet....

Interestingly enough, you can hear them toking up after every verse.

Six ho-hums on the trot. Looks like RP's hit what is, for me, a bit of a lean period. Off to make some tea and hope for better luck on my return.

I think this album was pivotal in that it began the transistion from Mop-Top pop idols to their next phase.  It bridges the gap nicely between teen sensation and what was coming with the Revolver/Sgt Pepper artistry.  Still one of my faves.
