Sounds like spoons.  Could be hollow wooden sticks, perhaps.

Snowden, Edward.  The name of the former Booz Allen employee who leaked the US Government's phone data collection program.

Hey!  Snowden's the NSA-records-everyone's-phone-call whistleblower guy in Hong Kong, right?  He's probably not dancing a jig at the moment.

That's not very pleasing to my ears.

Like a fine wine, this one ages well.  Each time I hear it, I like it more.

No, it is not you, some notes were a bit sour. But nothing compared with a number of songs played here that everybody raves about, but for me it's like a knife on glass, fork on a plate, chalk on a blackboard, you get the drift. Even Simon and Garfunkel could go horribly out of tune in some songs (Sounds of Silence, for example).

I sometimes think a fine sense of pitch is more of a curse than a blessing... Although my band members actually appreciate it when, at a rehearsal, I interrupt every third song or so from behind my drumset and ask them to tune up :)

Love this- very gypsy, bohemian- made me look up from my work to see who this is.  Have never heard of these cats.
It's these kind of worldly gems that you guys throw in on a fairly regular basis (amidst consistently great music) which keep me glued to RP.
Thank you!

Acoustic Engineers have created a plot of frequency versus level of annoyance, and can plot the "Level of Constant Annoyance" which is a bathtub shaped curve. Those frequencies on the ends of the spectrum where the sound becomes increasingly annoying varies among the population. Hence, there is a scientific reason why, for some people (like me) that frequency of violin is PARTICULARLY annoying - somewhat akin to waterboarding for me.

Like fingernails on a chalkboard to my ears. I understand some love it, but I have to mute this one.

I had to raise my rating. I find I truly enjoy this tune. It's even gotten me to listen to more by the Carolina Chocolate Drops.
