Nice break. Nice guitar sound and like the way they lower everything down and bring it back up. Very bluesy feel

michaelc wrote:Why does this version feel . . . . self indulgent Yeah... I agree. I love PF and have for many years, but Money (and Time, two things I never have enough of) or a couple of the very small handful of songs I don't care for. This is version feels like it goes on forever and just doesn't add anything to do the song. It's like they are trying to kill time in the concert and just noodling around. |

the Easy Star All-Stars have a great reggae version of this. In fact they do the entire " Dub Side Of The Moon" check it out.

Well, after carefully listening to some songs in this edition of the music of P. Floyd, is there anything that sounds strange, for example, leader-singer voice, chorus background, guitar solos, the percussion, feels like everything sounds that resembled a true copy of original songs, but here reproduced in session for a alternative band, and whose end result is poorly managed. I am convinced that this issue (Immersion Box Set), translates into a more commercial and opportunistic appeal of editors, but it adds nothing to the originals. Thus, the true lovers of traditional music Pink Floyd, only review the original albums, and also some recordings of live performances, performed by "actors" of the original lineup of Pink Floyd, i.e.Delicate Sound of Thunder (1988), Pulse (1995), Is There Anybody Out There? The Wall Live 1980–81 (2000), and some Compilation and Video albums like Pink Floyd The Wall (2000), Classic Albums: Pink Floyd – The Making of The Dark Side of the Moon (2003). Moreover, there is curious and strange, that this edition of "Box Immersion", nor is listed in the official Pink Floyd discography. And to aggravate the situation further, appears on-air play in doses reinforced of 3 songs grouped in sequence. A bit tedious to hear, given the marked differences for the recordings of the original albums, to those who know. Note: Nevertheless, it is much more useful for new generations of listeners, listen, and enjoy if possible, this edition Immersion, than wasting time listening to music from the second to third choice, which will be editing in the current times.

Godlike. Yes, that's what having back-to-back Floyd with fantastic sax solos is for me.
Here on Hilton Head Island, we are BASKING in RadioParadise's über-fantastic set.
Thanks Bill! Anton

This is like a half hour of pure Pink Floyd. I was done in the first five minutes. Can we move on?

Although I enjoy PF and most of their output...I personally love the variety presented here on RP and this to me is a bit excessive. Oh well...I'll survive.

I say this as a total PF fan...
This album needs a serious vacation. The marathon sessions of a whole album side, played over and over, are actually starting to make me tire of this brilliant work. My first thought when I heard this play was, "OMG, again?" When I start feeling that way about Floyd, there's something wrong.

Completely agree on the "burnout" rating button. Terrific idea. (Love this tune, though) |

I love songs that show how bluesy, how jazzy Pink Floyd has always been, all the way back to their wild Syd days when improv was the norm and frenzy was the theme. Music like theirs will never get old, and sounds good no matter what you're doing to it. Thanks, RP!
