I thought this was Suzanne Vega before I looked. I like this song a lot.

I really tried to dislike this song but I couldn't  get myself to do it.

This song makes me think of winter.  It has a cold, ominous feel to it. Perhaps cuz it's by a Scandinavian artist.  As I sit here now I just hope for winter to end.  There is nothing good about it except the sweet sadness that stays with me after it is over...

There is a very gentle tension throughout this song.

Sigur Ros frequently doesn't sing in any language, but a made up jumble of noises they call "Hopelandic" but I call gibberish.

I did not know that.  I guess it doesn't matter.  Either way I have no idea what they are singing.   Sivert Høyem has made me re-think eveything about vocals though.  Stay tuned for more revelations...{#Zip-lip}

She doesn't sound too much like Suzanne Vega to me, but she occasionally does that singing/talking thing which is not unique to Ms. Vega.  It's a little reminiscent in some parts, but not so much, especially given Ms. Ternheim's discernable, Swedish accent.

I think something about this song is reminding me of Vega's Language.

Bill, I think you got Anna Ternheim and Ane Brun confused in your commentary - Ane is norwegian living in Stockholm, Anna is swedish by origin.

Thanks for playing so much swedish music!

I accidentally rated this song when my browser restarted. Weird glitch. Good thing I like the song. The "Bow your head" chorus is quite listenable.

Much to my irritation, I couldn't find any Anna Ternheim in an otherwise good music shop in Copenhagen, which had a large selection of Danish music, with some Swedish (I got a CD of Kent, otherwise unobtainable in the UK). It's the devil's own job finding her work offline in proper shops (I don't do Amazon, for reasons such as these). Her voice gets me just there, so spare and clear and sooooooo Scandinavian. 9 from the smitten Scandophile Nottingham jury {#Hearteyes}

Thanks for the information on Amazon, fred. I knew only some of those things and I like to be an informed consumer when I can be such.

I'm also enjoying this a great deal.

I think this album will have to be acquired - it sounds like it will be a classic.

RP plays a lot of Anna and I am grateful.  I've liked every song RP has played.  Also bought one of her cds at Amazon.
