Sounds a bit like THE BEAUTIFUL SOUTH with the big band arrangements and boy/girl vocals, but also hear THE ARCADE FIRE as others have mentioned...

All sorts of negative comments, most based on the fact that this achieved success on mainstream radio.

So did 'Let It Be', but I bet that doesn't get shat on in this forum. (Just for example)

Another Icelandic band making it in the States is good to see! Bjork, Sigur Ros, these guys, and a couple others I can't think of now. From a country with a population of only 300,000!
