I beg to differ. This song is fun! |

If this stuff came out today, we'd all be saying "Retro Brilliance" and 'How Fresh", and burning up Amazon with orders.

It is amazing how after all these years, The Beatles still evoke such strong reactions from people. Both positive and negative. What a testament to their greatness.
As for this song, I admit it is not one of their best or strongest efforts, but I still love it. I love the tempo and energy.
When I hear it in the car, I want to open the sun roof, roll down the windows and drive way too fast.

I'm a bit burned out on a lot of the Beatles, but this song has kept its impact. For those of us who were there (and remember at least some of it!) this is among among the classics that capture the era.

I'm not a huge fan of this song either, but it does have more tempo changes than any Beatles song I can conjure up in my head. Or any song by any artist for that matter, at least in such a short time. Anyone care to disabuse me of that notion? Maybe Zappa accomplished a similar feat, but I doubt he made it hang together as a single song...
