You serious??  If so, what a load of crap.
Yeah, about 20 one hit wonders. CCR was and remains one of THE American bands. They sold as many or more records in their '69-'75 time as any other band. You can look it up. They just about INVENTED the hybrid of rockabilly and blues for the Vietnam-era audience. Their covers of blues classics reintroduced the material to fresh ears, and their socially conscious songs — among them Bad Moon Rising and Fortunate Son — have long been part of the American popular musical canon. Springsteen shows up at John Fogerty concerts and vice versa.  Bruce's Glory Days and Fogerty's Center Field are twin songs of different mothers. The Beatles and the Stones are some of the few bands that had more 'one hit wonders'.

particularly by my dad. He only had three albums, mind you. This one, Nat King Cole and something else which I seem to have blocked out of my mind.

Ahhh...hearing Bad Moon Rising from CCR takes me right back to this era when I was roughly 4 years old.  I remember riding along in the passenger seat of my Dad's 1970 Chevy C/10 pick-up truck in which he installed a Kraco cassette deck (w/recording function. Why did they make such a thing?! This was new technology back then, right?) complete with speaker boxes he built hidden under the bench seat (Jensen speakers, I think). My Dad knew and still knows good music at age 69 (this month).

Thanks for the great memories, Dad!  {#Motor}

Yes sharkey, i see ... so, why do you not protest against those interests that control of capitalist monopolies, which are infiltrated in the music world, and are responsible for this savagery of "tipping" YouTube videos? What misery .....
("This video has been removed by the user."  and   "This video is no longer available because the YouTube account associated with this video has been terminated."  are excuses to cover up the names of the labels responsible for that, and you can not exercise your censorship also, when you see these seals on the products they sell).
What they forget is that these attitudes are increasingly encouraging piracy. And it is deserved.

It's cold, David, and I'm so alone. The undead surround me. Have you ever talked to a corpse? It's boring! I'm lonely! Kill yourself, David, before you kill others...Beware the moon, David.

I kinda have to give them a good rating outta respect although this song, frankly, has never did *it* for me. If The Dude convinces The Stranger to dig well then..

I can't rate this song low enough. It was a bad song to begin with, but it is still so overplayed on all the commercial radio stations (not to mention all the late-night TV commercials hawking CCR's greatest hits (um...one song?), that it just doesn't belong here.

Ditto!
