I feel the same way about the Rolling Stones. I guess its just a matter of taste. This song = great |

All you haters, I'd like to introduce you to the volume know. Turn it down and then you don't have to listen to something you don't like. I have to do it from time to time, possibly with music you love!!

One of my favorite songs off of one of my favorite R.E.M. albums. Thank you so much for playing this!! Really needed it and it came at the right time.

My God, did he just say 'bergamot and vetiver'? Every time I think I've decided Michael Stipe is an egotistical ass, I hear something like this and suspect that his opinion of himself may not be so ill-founded.

I thought "New Adventures in HiFi" was their peak. Trouble is, I can't stand Stipe's voice no more... |

I haven't really listened to this track's lyric before. Today, I'm glad I did. The words are a great poem, I feel that's what great vocal music is, poetry to music.
I was touched by Find The River and Tompoll, Horstman and robco1's posts below.

Tompoll,
My son is more than okay, he is great. He is 14 years old, is 5'-10", looks me straight in the eye.
He loves Porcupine Tree, Opeth, and many bands I don't care for. He likes many bands I love. He plays the "what band is this" question very well. He plays guitar and is banging out Clapton and modern sounds as well.
He has trouble at school with his learning disability. His eyesight isn't great. But he is a very interesting person.
He is my son. He is his father's son.
Thanks for the comment. Radio Paradise doesn't just draw people together who appreciate great music. It draws people together who appreciate great things.
Peace. |

Some of us call that "bittersweet." R.E.M. is well-known for evoking that sentiment.
