Always lots of fun -- can't go wrong with any Squeeze!
And I've been lucky to see GT do this live -- twice -- and clearly this is one of his favorites; he had us all singing the chorus to his content before going any further!

In 1981, somebody played me "East Side Story" and I realised I should stop spending so much time listening to the likes of Queen and Led Zeppelin and explore cleaner, melody-driven pop. Squeeze, Elvis Costello, Graham Parker, and later Crowded House & Sam Phillips. A path well taken.

That was so much fun I'm going to have to rewind my Real Player so I can hear it again!

Superb track. I was lucky enough, in my capacity as a local businessman, friend of the local arts centre and patron of the arts to have sponsored a Glenn Tilbrook gig last month. Great gig. Serenaded us all in the bar during the interval, then came down the pub with us afterwards for a chat. Top bloke. Don't miss the opportunity to see him live (Voodoo Chile on acoustic guitar anybody? genius!). The DVD of his RV tour of the US is also well worth seeing.
Cheers,

Ah...I just hear his voice and it makes me happy all over.
Love the moody music on RP but they should balance it out with stuff like Squeeze...yay!

I will admit, this is one of my favorite songs to dance around in my living room to... while my dog looks at me as if I've lost my mind :)
gotta love the way the banana is in perfect time to the music |

You, of course, are correct. Massive memory lapse on my part. :-) |

IMHO there are few pop songs as clever and memorable as Black Coffee In Bed. well... i like "labelled with love" more so! it has a very good rootsy sound to it also! |

If you didn't catch Jools on 'The Kumars at No. 42' you missed a fun time.
Nice traveling music. Now if I could get my car started... |

Wow, a poppy 80's song that doesn't sound... 80's (it does, but not in a bad way). Not bad.

How can you not like Squeeze? That is one of the more fluid, clever guitar solos I've heard in a long time.

Definitely an underplayed band here on RP.
Nice to hear them, and a great track.
